Engineering

Head of Department: Prof. Harish Barapatre
The Computer Engineering department prepares students to meet the growing demand for trained professionals in the information technology industry. With an emphasis on IT-based learning, entrepreneurship development and an aspiration to become a Centre of Excellence, the department equips diploma students with practical, industry-aligned computing skills. Coursework spans databases, computer programming, web technology, software engineering, networking, system security, operating systems, basic electronics and microprocessors.

Mechanical Engineering
Head of Department: Prof. Santosh Wankhede
One of the premier departments at the institute, Mechanical Engineering maintains laboratories recognised as testing facilities and operates dedicated workshops for practical training. All laboratories and workshops are well equipped as per the prescribed structure and syllabus, supported by a qualified, devoted and dedicated team of teaching staff. Students gain hands-on exposure across thermal, design, manufacturing and metrology disciplines.

Civil Engineering
Head of Department: Prof. Nitin Shelar
Civil Engineering is the oldest and most respected of all engineering disciplines, and at YTP it trains students to design, build and manage the infrastructure of modern civilization, from buildings and bridges to highways and water supply systems. The curriculum encompasses structural, geotechnical and earthquake engineering alongside hydrology, water resources and environmental engineering, giving diploma holders a broad and employable foundation.

Information Technology
The Information Technology department equips students with the knowledge and skills demanded by the fast-moving technology sector, emphasising innovation, technical expertise and practical problem-solving. Through software development, database management, web technologies and computer networking, supported by software engineering, programming and multimedia laboratories, the department nurtures future IT professionals who can contribute to society through innovative and sustainable solutions.

Electrical Engineering
