Admissions 2026–27

Admission Process

A transparent, six-step pathway from your first enquiry to your first day on campus. Whether you are sitting MHT-CET, JEE or MAH-CET, our Admission Cell at Karjat makes Maharashtra's CAP counselling simple, predictable and stress-free.

How it works

Six steps to your seat

Each stage is handled with a dedicated counsellor by your side. Here is exactly what happens, and roughly when, across the admission cycle.

  1. 1

    Enquiry & Online Application

    April – June

Start your journey with a quick enquiry or fill the online application form. Choose your preferred stream and campus at Tasgaonkar Knowledge City, Bhivpuri Road, Karjat.

    • Submit an enquiry online or call the admissions helpline for guidance.
    • Create your applicant profile and select up to three programs of interest.
    • A dedicated counsellor is assigned to you within one working day.
  2. 2

    Eligibility Check & Document Submission

    May – July

Our counsellors verify your eligibility against DTE Maharashtra, MSBTE, PCI and INC norms and help you assemble a complete, error-free document set.

    • Academic eligibility reviewed against the stream you have chosen.
    • Upload or submit marksheets, ID and category certificates for verification.
    • EWS / SC / ST / OBC / SEBC and TFWS candidates briefed on required proofs.
  3. 3

    Entrance Exam & CAP Registration

    May – August

Register for the relevant entrance — MHT-CET or JEE (Main) for engineering, MHT-CET (PCB/PCM) for pharmacy, MAH-CET for management — and complete CAP registration on the DTE / CET Cell portal.

    • MHT-CET / JEE (Main) accepted for B.Tech & B.E. admissions.
    • D.Pharm and Diploma seats include institute-level (management quota) routes.
    • CAP (Centralised Admission Process) registration completed with our support.
  4. 4

    Merit List & Counselling Rounds

    July – September

State CAP merit lists are published by the CET Cell. We help you read your rank, plan option-form preferences and lock the right college–branch combination across rounds.

    • Provisional and final merit lists tracked round by round (CAP I, II, III).
    • Option-form strategy built around your rank, category and branch goals.
    • Institute-level vacancy round guidance for any seats remaining after CAP.
  5. 5

    Seat Confirmation & Fee Payment

    August – September

Once a seat is allotted, confirm your admission by reporting to the institute, submitting originals for verification and paying the first-year fees to freeze your seat.

    • Original document verification at the Admission Cell, Karjat campus.
    • Pay first-year fees online or at the campus accounts office to freeze the seat.
    • EBC / TFWS / scholarship and education-loan assistance available on request.
  6. 6

    Onboarding & Orientation

    September – October

Welcome to the Tasgaonkar ecosystem. Complete enrolment, collect your ID and library card, and join the induction programme that sets you up for academic and career success.

    • Department induction, hostel allotment and campus familiarisation.
    • Mentor assignment and access to labs, library and the AI learning platform.

Questions, answered

Admission FAQs

The questions families ask us most about entrance exams, CAP, eligibility and timelines.

Which entrance exams does Tasgaonkar accept for engineering admissions?
B.Tech and B.E. admissions are made through the Maharashtra CAP process and accept a valid MHT-CET or JEE (Main) score. A small share of institute-level seats is filled on merit for candidates with a valid score, with counselling support provided by our Admission Cell.
Do I need an entrance exam for the polytechnic diploma programs?
No. MSBTE diploma (polytechnic) admissions are merit-based on your SSC (Class 10) marks through the DTE Maharashtra CAP process. There is no separate entrance exam, and lateral entry into the second year of B.Tech is available after the diploma.
What is CAP and do I have to register separately?
CAP (Centralised Admission Process) is the state-run counselling conducted by the CET Cell / DTE Maharashtra for government and institute seats. Yes, you register on the official CET Cell portal and submit an option form — our counsellors walk you through registration, document scanning and option-form strategy at no cost.
When do admissions for 2026–27 open and close?
Enquiries and applications open from April 2026. Entrance results, CAP merit lists and counselling rounds run from July through September, with onboarding in September–October. Exact dates follow the CET Cell schedule — call the admissions helpline for the current cut-off dates.
I am from outside Maharashtra. Am I eligible to apply?
Yes. Outside-Maharashtra (OMS) candidates can apply against the all-India / institute-level seats. You will need a valid entrance score and a migration certificate from your board. Our team helps OMS applicants navigate eligibility, hostel allotment and the documentation required.
Are scholarships or education loans available?
Yes. Eligible students can avail Government of Maharashtra scholarships, EBC and TFWS fee concessions, and education loans through our partner banks. Bring your income / EWS certificate during document verification and the Admission Cell will guide you on the applicable schemes.
