Good to know

A quick note on eligibility

Scholarship slabs, income ceilings and government scheme rules are set each year by the University of Mumbai, DTE / MSBTE, the Government of Maharashtra and the Government of India. The points below summarise how awards work at Tasgaonkar.

  • Institutional merit and special-category waivers can usually be stacked with MahaDBT government schemes, subject to the per-student ceiling.
  • All awards are sanctioned only after document verification; benefits are reviewed each academic year and renewed on academic and conduct criteria.
  • Government scholarship amounts are credited directly to the student’s Aadhaar-linked account through MahaDBT — never through any third party.
  • Figures and ceilings here are indicative for 2026–27; the scholarship cell shares the exact, latest slab for your profile in writing before you pay fees.
