How to apply

    First Year Diploma Engineering - Eligibility

    Candidates must be Indian citizens. Must have passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination with at least 35% aggregate marks, or possess an HSC with Science and Mathematics as required subjects. There is no upper age limit for admission to first-year Diploma in Engineering courses.

    Direct Second Year Admission (Lateral Entry) - Eligibility

    Candidates must be Indian citizens. Must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Science/Technical/Vocational with relevant subjects and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. SC/ST/VJ/DT/NT candidates require 45% minimum; OBC candidates also need 45% aggregate marks.

    Entrance Requirement (Lateral Entry)

    A non-zero score in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by MSBTE is required for Direct Second Year admission.

Eligibility by program

Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic)

Diploma3 years (full-time; lateral entry to second year for eligible HSC candidates)
  • First Year: Indian citizen who has completed SSC (10th) with at least 35% aggregate marks, or HSC with Science and Mathematics as required subjects; no upper age limit
  • Direct Second Year (lateral entry): HSC Science/Technical/Vocational pass with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/VJ/DT/NT and OBC candidates) and a non-zero score in the Common Entrance Test administered by MSBTE or an equivalent recognised test
  • Admission through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP)
