Central library
The YTIET Central Library holds a collection of more than 13,000 books along with a wide range of National periodicals dedicated to engineering, technology, humanities, social science and management. Located on the first floor across a total area of 475 sq. m, it comprises a reading room (300 sq. m), stack room (100 sq. m), multimedia room (50 sq. m) and librarian office (25 sq. m). Circulation hours are 9 AM to 5 PM and reading hours 9 AM to 9 PM, extended during examination periods to midnight for reading and reference. The library remains open on all days of the year except holidays. E-resources and services include NPTEL, DELNET membership, E-Journals, E-Books, NDLI membership, OPAC, scanning, xeroxing, referral services, current awareness services, newspaper clipping and multimedia access. The collection also includes CD ROMs and Marathi-language general reading materials, and the library operates a book bank scheme for students along with reference services and syllabus/question-paper scanning via email.
