The Department of Computer Engineering was established to cater to the need for trained personpower in the Information Technology industry. It aspires to be a Centre of Excellence in computer engineering, fostering IT-based learning and entrepreneurship while collaborating on cutting-edge technologies to address present and future challenges. The curriculum builds a strong foundation across databases, programming, web technology, software engineering, networking, system security and operating systems, with a sanctioned intake of 60 students.

Information Technology
The Department of Information Technology focuses on the design, development, implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware. Students master converting, storing, protecting, processing, transmitting and securely retrieving information using electronic computers and software. Recognising that the field is dynamic and constantly evolving, the department ensures students not only learn current techniques but continuously upgrade their knowledge, supported by specialised laboratories for software engineering, databases, programming, web technology, multimedia and operating systems.

Mechanical Engineering
Professor & Head of Department: Prof. Santosh Wankhede
Among the premier departments of YTIET, the Department of Mechanical Engineering offers graduate-level courses supported by laboratories recognised as testing facilities and workshops for smithy, carpentry, welding and machine tools. It aims to be a centre of excellence that produces professional mechanical engineers with strong ethics who contribute to society through research, innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership. With a sanctioned intake of 120 students, the department maintains an extensive suite of laboratories spanning thermal engineering, strength of materials, CAD, fluid mechanics, metrology and metallurgy.

Civil Engineering
Professor & Head of Department: Prof. Nitin Shelar
Established in 2014-15, the Department of Civil Engineering trains students to design, build and manage the infrastructure of civilisation - buildings, bridges, highways, water supply systems and other public works. The programme spans structural engineering, geotechnical and earthquake engineering, hydrology, water resources and environmental engineering, with core study in strength of materials, fluid mechanics, concrete technology, surveying and transportation engineering. The department seeks to instil the ideal balance of character, knowledge and attitude so graduates can assume leadership roles in society, with a sanctioned intake of 60 students.

Electrical Engineering

Established in 2006, the Department of Electrical Engineering is committed to developing brilliant engineers through high-quality education and aspires to be a centre of excellence renowned worldwide in the electrical engineering sector. The department prepares students for career success in industry or advanced studies, builds analytical skills for the analysis and design of electrical systems, and encourages research in emerging multidisciplinary fields. Practical learning is supported by an electrical machines laboratory, a measurement and electronics laboratory and a switchgear laboratory, with a sanctioned intake of 60 students.
