Eligibility & entrance
- Completed HSC / 12th (10+2) or equivalent in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) as compulsory subjects
- Must qualify NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted by the NTA; selection is based on NEET performance
- Medical fitness with no physical disability that would prevent performing physiotherapy duties
- Minimum age 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year
- Must meet the criteria set by the Government of Maharashtra and MUHS

Curriculum structure
How the program is structured year by year

Foundations: Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics and basic sciences

Core physiotherapy: Electrotherapy, Exercise Therapy and Kinesiology

Clinical sciences: Orthopaedics, Neurology, Cardiorespiratory conditions and General Medicine/Surgery

Applied physiotherapy with laboratory and clinical practice across the four years

Six-month compulsory rotatory internship in hospitals, rehabilitation centres and sports clinics

Fees
For A.Y. 2025-26, the OPEN-category BPTh fee is Rs 78,000 (Rs 70,461 tuition + Rs 7,539 development), with substantial waivers for reserved categories; a refundable caution money of Rs 20,000 also applies. Hostel, mess and transport are chargeable separately. Tuition fees are subject to approval by the Fees Regulating Authority of Maharashtra.
